Alan was cycling home from work when he was the victim of a hit-and-run accident. Alan was hit by a vehicle that ignored temporary red lights at some road works and, as a result, was thrown into a hole and lost consciousness.
Thompsons Solicitors visited Alan at his home as he was too ill to leave the house and could not walk for three weeks. Thompsons worked with Alan to appeal to the Motor Insurers Bureau, an organisation which helps compensate accident victims of uninsured and unidentified hit-and-run drivers, and successfully secured full compensation.
Alan said: “Thompsons painstakingly went into my costs, my loss of earnings and the extent to which I would probably not make a full recovery. I got a very good settlement and I'm grateful to Thompsons for getting that for me.”
