Injured military personnel can also work with the Royal British Legion to secure financial compensation if they go on to develop illness or injury as a result of their Service.
A few of our solicitors are proud to be part of the Royal British Legion Solicitors’ Group. The Group was established in 1989 by a small selection of British solicitors, including former Thompsons’ Member Andy McDonald MP, with a passion to represent members of the Armed Forces and their families. The group aims to provide ex-military personnel with legal support and assistance following injuries in training and combat.
Since its establishment, the group has fought for the rights of military personnel in Bosnia, the Gulf War, Iraq and Afghanistan. It also played a key role in providing evidence for the recent House of Commons enquiry into the care of military personnel during training exercises.
