The Northern TUC Asbestos Support and Campaign Group is a partnership between the Northern TUC, trade unions, West View Advice and Resource Centre and Macmillan Cancer Support. The group offers free, confidential information, advice and support to individuals and loved ones who are suffering as a result of mesothelioma, asbestosis, pleural thickening, lung cancer or any other occupational cancer.
The group provides support for those applying for welfare benefits or other financial support to cover health costs, independent legal advice and representation and information on other related services.
Thompsons has proudly worked with the Northern TUC Asbestos Support and Campaign Group since its inception in 2011. Working in partnership with the group and supporting trade unions, campaigns have been run to raise awareness of the dangers of asbestos and support, including independent legal advice, has been given to those affected by asbestos-related disease.
