Asbestos Awareness and Support Cymru (AASC) is a charitable organisation that provides help and support to people in Wales who are living with illnesses such as mesothelioma or asbestosis.
The organisation has contacts in the health, social care and legal professions in the statutory, voluntary and private sectors to ensure that it can provide people in Wales affected by asbestos with the best integrated assistance possible.
Thompsons attended AASC’s launch event at the Senedd back in 2012 and has worked closely with AASC ever since. We are supporters of AASC’s annual Action Mesothelioma Day event and attend support group meetings and patient and carer days, where we can be of assistance to attendees. We have seen first-hand the amazing job which AASC does in supporting the asbestos victims of Wales with a listening ear and bags of compassion.
