Whiplash Injury
A woman from Wirral has secured compensation following a road traffic accident which took place on the M53 motorway. The compensation was secured with the support of leading personal injury specialists Thompsons Solicitors.
At the time of the accident, the lady was stationary in her Astra at the roundabout to junction 3 of the M53 when another vehicle collided with the rear of her car. As a result of the accident, the woman, who works at Liverpool Community College, sustained a whiplash injury to her neck and shoulder.
The driver of the vehicle admitted liability, but later tried to defend his case in court, making allegations that the woman was lying about her injury, that she was not shunted at all and that the impact speed was less than 5mph. Despite these allegations, Thompsons fought her case and won.
She comments: “The specialist support provided by Thompsons was excellent. I doubt I would have had such good legal representation and secured so much compensation without their help.”
Cheryl McCann from Thompsons Solicitors in Liverpool explains: “Whiplash is a very common but serious injury and one which deserves compensation. We’re pleased that our client’s case has been settled swiftly and successfully.”
