Our client jarred his back and twisted his ankle after grabbing onto a handrail when he lost his balance on a staircase at work.

It transpired that the stairway flooring was in poor condition, and two months after the accident, our client’s employer replaced it.

The Judge found that, had the flooring been maintained properly and adequately inspected, the accident would not have occurred. He awarded our client compensation from his employer.
