A Judge at Lincoln County Court recently heard a case in which our client alleged that when working on a production line some trays fell on her, causing her injury.

Whilst the employer accepted that the trays had fallen, they disputed that they had struck our client.

At the trial, two of the employer’s witnesses failed to turn up, but our client provided her version of events, which was accepted by the Judge and she was awarded compensation.

Commenting after the case, Thompsons Solicitors’ Deborah Roberts said: “Accidents happen and employers need to have the decency to admit when they are at fault, in this case they apparently hoped to bluff it out in the hope that our client would go away but we weren’t going anywhere other than into court beside her.”
