Thompsons’ expert asbestos litigation team has successfully concluded a range of asbestos-related disease cases during the last eight weeks
Asbestos-related disease specialists Thompsons Solicitors has recovered more than ÂŁ1.9 million compensation for clients over the last two months.
During the course of February and March, Thompsons’ dedicated asbestos disease teams have settled cases for clients suffering from mesothelioma, diffuse pleural thickening and asbestos-related lung cancer, totalling more than £1.9 million.
Asbestos disease can take decades to develop and is the single greatest cause of work-related deaths in the UK.
Ian McFall, head of asbestos litigation at Thompsons Solicitors, said: “Most asbestos-related disease is caused by historical employer negligence due to failing to provide workers with adequate protection.
“Being diagnosed with asbestos-related disease is hugely traumatic for the individual and their families who face an uncertain future, financially and emotionally.
“Asbestos disease compensation claims require careful and thorough investigation as well as sensitive client care, something that our expert team of solicitors, who specialise in asbestos disease claims, manage both effectively and sympathetically. We work hard to ensure that our clients receive the maximum compensation in the shortest time post diagnosis so that their future care and financial needs can be met.”
Below is one example of a recent client comment for the Thompsons Solicitors’ asbestos litigation team:
“Very efficient service, always kept well informed of progress, cannot fault them at all. No hesitation in recommending them 100%. Thank you for your care, understanding, and hard work in dealing with claims.” Mr H, Thompsons Solicitors’ mesothelioma client
Asbestos disease diagnosis? Talk to us for advice and support on how to secure compensation.
If you or a loved one have been diagnosed with an asbestos-related disease, we can support you with advice on how to make a claim.
The process will be explained in plain English and with no obligation – our priority is to provide you with the best, expert advice on whether you have a valid case for compensation, and to signpost you to further sources of support.
There are strict time limits applied to making a claim – usually three years from the date of diagnosis. It doesn’t matter if the exposure to asbestos took place – as it often does – decades ago, the three year time limit applies to the date of knowledge of diagnosis or date of death.
