The family of an asbestos victim is urging his former work colleagues to come forward.
William Lovelady, known as Billy by his friends, from Formby, Liverpool died from mesothelioma, an asbestos related lung cancer, in August 2010.

The former joiner worked for Nowest Holt Construction Ltd, based in Dunnings Bridge Road, Bootle from various periods between 1970 and 1988.

Billy was not told he was suffering from asbestos disease. It was only after his death that a post mortem revealed he died from mesothelioma.

He was 74 when he died leaving behind his wife, Hilary, and two adult children.
Mesothelioma is caused by exposure to asbestos and there is no cure for the disease. Many sufferers die within months.

Thompsons Solicitors are investigating claim for compensation

Following his death his family instructed asbestos claims experts Thompsons Solicitors to investigate a claim.

The family wish anyone who worked with Billy at any time to come forward to speak to Thompsons. They are interested in information about the working environment during the time he was working for Nowest Holt from 1970 to 1974; 1975 to 1976 and 1979 to 1988.
During that time he worked as a joiner on building sites including building Green Park housing estate in Magull and Green Loon housing estate in Formby.

Mrs Lovelady said: “It is important to the whole family that we are able to trace the people who worked alongside my husband to find out more about his working conditions.

"We had no idea that his work could be responsible for his ill health until after his death and by finding out exactly how he was exposed we hope to find some sense of justice."
