Hats for Headway Day 2015
Staff from Thompsons Solicitors donned their wackiest headgear in a bid to raise awareness and funds for brain injury charity, Headway, as part of Hats for Headway Day 2015.
Hats for Headway is an annual initiative organised by Headway, the brain injury association, as part of its Action for Brain Injury Week activities and aims to encourage people from across the UK to wear a hat on the Friday of the awareness week.
Action for Brain Injury Week takes place every year and aims to highlight the effects of acquired brain injury and to improve the quality of information and support for brain injury survivors.
Paul Brown, a serious injury solicitor at Thompsons Solicitors and secretary for Headway Wearside, said: “Headway offer vital services, support and information to brain injury survivors and we are proud to work with the charity and to have supported them on Hats for Headway Day.
“The latest brain injury statistics released this week show that the number of people suffering a head injury is on the rise, highlighting the need for more support and resource for charities such as Headway to ensure they are able to continue providing vital services to brain injury survivors.
“Hats for Headway day provides a great opportunity for people across the UK to get involved in a fun and simple fundraiser and we hope that lots of people joined us in putting on their hats for a great cause!”
