Action for Brain Injury Week: 12 – 16 May 2014
Staff from Thompsons’ offices across the UK donned their ‘Hats for Headway’, and participated in events throughout Action for Brain Injury Week.
Action for Brain Injury Week is organised by the brain injury association, Headway, and aims to help raise awareness of the impact brain injuries have on survivors and their families.
Here’s a roundup of what some of the team at Thompsons got up to:
A Thompsons Solicitors brain injury specialist and secretary for Headway Wearside was part of the team to unveil the ‘Community Mural’ produced by Headway members through the Artistic You project.

The Thompsons’ team also participated in ‘Hats for Headway Day – here are some of our favourites from our offices around the UK:

Laura Storer (Thompsons Birmingham office), Jacquie Owen (Thompsons Client Support Coordinator), Mike Leddy (Labour) Lord Mayor of Birmingham and Karl De Loyde (Birmingham) at a Headway West Midlands ‘Hats for Headway’ event.
Peter Mulhern, national head of the Thompsons’ serious injury team, said: “From our work with brain injury survivors, we have a close relationship with Headway, indeed many of our solicitors are members of group or branch committees. We believe the support and rehabilitation services provided by Headway are invaluable in helping people improve their life after a brain injury.
“We hope Action for Brain Injury Week, and our part in it, have helped raise awareness of the challenges that those with brain injuries must face on a daily basis.”
