Brain injury survivors from across the North East are being brought together by Headway Teesside next week as it hosts its 2012 Conference, ‘Making Headway on Teesside’.
David Robinson, a Solicitor specialising in Brain Injuries and Secretary of Headway Teesside, explains: “There have been a lot of developments at Headway Teesside over recent months, including the emerging roles of a Brain Injury Coordinator at James Cook University Hospital, a Community Occupational Therapist and a Community Development Officer. These roles will be showcased at the Conference and brain injury survivors will have the opportunity to find out more”.
The Conference will cover many issues, including the issue of criminalisation following a brain injury as well as perspectives from brain injury survivors and their families.
Thompsons Solicitors are always keen to support such good causes and are sponsoring the delegate packs, and hope to see many brain injury survivors and their families at the Conference. There is no charge to such individuals.
David Robinson says further: “The Headway Teesside Conference is an opportunity to raise awareness of the dangers and effects of brain injury. Brain injury survivors from across the North East will be descending upon Teesside which is becoming a leader in the provision of brain injury rehabilitation and support”.
For further information on the Conference, or to book a place, please contact David Robinson on 08000 224 224.
