Coping with a brain injury is not easy
“Between Life and Death”, a BBC programme filmed in a brain injury unit, has been nominated for best single documentary with the Royal British Television Awards.
The BBC documentary was filmed at Addenbooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, which is home to one of the countries leading brain injury units. Information on the hospital can be found at http://www.cuh.org.uk/addenbrookes/addenbrookes_index.html.
David Robinson, a Solicitor who specialises in brain injury at Thompsons Solicitors, said: “Publicity such as this helps to promote the effects of brain injury. Brain injury impacts not only on the individual who sustains the injury, but also on family and friends. Coping with a brain injury is not easy and this nomination will hopefully promote understanding and awareness of brain injury further”.
As well as being a specialist brain injury solicitor, David is also Secretary of Headway Teesside, which is a local charity which seeks to promote local awareness of the dangers of brain injury, and it also seeks to provide support to survivors of brain injuries, their families and their carers.
