Action for Brain Injury Awareness Week takes place next week starting on 9 May 2011. The event has always been a great success in raising awareness of brain injury and its effects.

Brain injury affects people of all ages and from all social backgrounds. Action for Brain Injury Week is about telling people about the impact of brain injury on both the individual survivor and the family, and also about raising awareness as to the dangers that can lead to a traumatic brain injury.

As part of the week, national charity Headway has promoted a ‘Hats for Headway’ day in which supporters are encouraged to wear (and hopefully make) the best hats on the market! Staff at national law firm Thompsons Solicitors are getting involved with the day, as many of its solicitors are involved in local branches and groups of this national brain injury charity.
