David Robinson, a solicitor who works as part of a team of specialist brain injury solicitors at national law firm Thompsons Solicitors, has recently attended an assembly at Ayresome Primary School, Middlesbrough, to mark the end of their ‘Stay Safe Week’.

The School has been looking at road safety and has received support from local charity Headway Teesside. Headway Teesside seeks to support individuals who have sustained head injuries or brain injuries, as well as assisting and supporting their family and friends too. As well as being a brain injury solicitor David is also the Secretary of Headway Teesside.

Reduce the amount of brain injuries and fatalities

Headway Teesside has donated a number of cycle helmets to the School, which the School will be using in the new term as part of its cycling proficiency programme. Pupils at the School will then be able to loan bikes, complete with one of the donated helmets, once they have passed.

Speaking following the assembly David said: “Headway Teesside is committed to raising awareness of the dangers of brain injury, promoting road safety and reducing accidents. The pupils at this school have responded so positively to the advice and guidance which has been given to them. It is by undertaking awareness campaigns such as this, in partnership with the School, which will hopefully reduce the amount of brain injuries and fatalities on our roads”.
