A new partnership has been established between Thompsons Solicitors and Llanelli-based litigation firm J M Parsons & Co, to provide victims of asbestos-related disease in south Wales with specialist industrial disease legal support.

Following the recent passing of Mr. Jeffrey Parsons, Amanda Jones, a specialist asbestos solicitor at Thompsons Solicitors, has been appointed to manage the practice working with long standing J M Parsons & Co staff.

With knowledge of his illness, Jeffrey Parsons approached a former trainee of his firm, Amanda Jones, who he would trust to safeguard existing clients and ensure that they remain supported to the highest standards. Since training under Mr Parsons, Amanda has specialised in working for those with asbestos-related disease at Thompsons Solicitors, a firm with a leading reputation in asbestos litigation.

Thompsons Solicitors has extensive experience of representing, and campaigning to support, families who have been affected by asbestos exposure across the UK. In 1972, Thompsons Solicitors instigated the first ever successful case for asbestos-related disease in the UK in the House of Lords, an outcome which led to tens of thousands of successful asbestos compensation cases.
