Submissions for the competition close on Friday 10 June 2016
Thompsons Solicitors and Headway are encouraging more brain injury survivors to get creative and take part in a Christmas card competition as the deadline for entries approaches.
Entries for the competition, which is a joint initiative between brain injury charity Headway and Thompsons Solicitors, need to be submitted on or before Friday 10 June.
A shortlist of 12 of the submitted Christmas card designs will be showcased at this year’s ‘Way Ahead’ conference on 02 July 2016 where delegates will vote to choose the winner.
The winning Christmas card design will be used across England and Wales as the official Thompsons Solicitors’ Christmas card and will be sold across Headway branches nationwide. The winner will receive an iPad, and their Headway branch will enjoy an outing to the value of £150.
Members of the brain injury charity wishing to take part in the competition can submit photographs, drawings, paintings or graphic design, either in landscape or portrait format. The final card will be of A5 size but Headway will accept designs in A3, A4 or A5 format.
Samantha Hemsley, national head of the serious injury and clinical negligence teams at Thompsons Solicitors, said: “The closing date for competition entries is approaching fast. We have had a great response but more are always welcome from Headway members.
“Through our close working links with Headway, we know that for some brain injury survivors art can be an effective tool in supporting rehabilitation.
“We are proud to support this fantastic competition and look forward to seeing all the designs on display this summer.”
Entrants must include their full name, Headway group or branch and contact details with their design. Designs must be submitted before 10 June to:
Luke Griggs, Headway – the brain injury association, 190 Bagnall Road, Basford, Nottingham, NG6 8SF or via email to directorofcomms@headway.org.uk
