Thompsons is acting for two patients who may have received substandard care
Thompsons Solicitors is concerned about a surgeon practising at a private hospital in Ipswich, after two people have come forward with complaints about their treatment.
The patients were both treated by the same surgeon at Ipswich Private Hospital in Suffolk.
One of Thompsons’ clients has been left with nerve damage after having a wisdom tooth removed and the other is awaiting a second operation to correct hearing damage following a procedure to his jaw.
Jessica Wright, a specialist clinical negligence solicitor at Thompsons Solicitors’ Chelmsford office, commented: “We feel that, from what we know at this stage, both our clients potentially received treatment at Ipswich Private Hospital that was below the expected standard of care and we have commissioned independent reports into what happened.
“Given that two individuals have come to us in the last couple of months, we are concerned that there may be a more widespread issue here that needs to be investigated and there may be more people affected.
“Knowing your position legally, even if you decide not to pursue a claim, can be extremely important psychologically. We are here to support anyone who is concerned about treatment they have received at Ipswich Private Hospital, or anywhere else.”
