Two men have died at an industrial estate in Norwich after an industrial ‘incident’ took place at 9:20am today (13 July 2015).

Reports suggest that there was an explosion at Harford Attachments and Norfolk Police have confirmed that two men died at the scene. Both men, one in his 50s and one in his 20s, are believed to have worked at the site. Three other people were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene according to East of England Ambulance Service.

There were around 50 people on site at the time of the incident and staff were evacuated to a nearby business. The air ambulance, fire and ambulance crews attended the scene and forensic officers have since arrived at the industrial unit.

Samantha Hemsley, a senior serious injury solicitor and head of the serious injury team at Thompsons Solicitors said: “While the details of the accident at Harford Attachments remain unclear at this stage, our thoughts remain with the families of the two men who have lost their lives.

“A full and open investigation into the accident is now required to help establish the cause of their death and learn lessons from it that would avoid a repeat.”
