Kirsty Lambourne specialises in industrial disease claims for clients throughout Wales and the South West.
Based in the firm’s Cardiff office, Kirsty has responsibility for supervising all industrial disease claims in the area, with the exception of claims for asbestos-related injury. Kirsty also oversees the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority unit. Kirsty is also involved in handling some cases of historic sexual abuse, dating back to the 1960s and 1970s.
Clients facing injury from industrial diseases, such as upper limb injuries, vibration white finger, carpal tunnel syndrome, respiratory, allergies to latex, silicosis, asthma, dermatitis and other industrial skin diseases, will find a champion in Kirsty. A determined litigator, Kirsty has built up a strong track record of success in pursuing claims on behalf of her clients.
Kirsty has specialised in industrial disease claims for the past six years, having established a reputation as an exceptional personal injury lawyer. Over the past 14 years, Kirsty has handled claims, often complex, against employers whose negligence has made them liable for injuries caused to employees at work. Whether the case involved trips, slips, back injury, or injuries through defective equipment and machinery, or assaults at work, Kirsty handles each case professionally and efficiently.
Motivated to enter this area of the law when a close family member was involved in a road traffic accident and ended up with a brain injury, Kirsty understands what clients and their families go through when dealing with injuries. Getting the best medical experts to support the claim is vital. Kirsty knows that money won’t change the injury, but will help pay for equipment or medical expenses that give her clients a better quality of life and give them a financially secure future.
Kirsty finds working at Thompsons hugely satisfying as it gives her the chance to help working people have access to justice.
When not working, Kirsty enjoys spending time with her young family.
