Richard started his legal career in 2005 in a large North West based personal injury practice, before joining Thompsons in 2022. In his management of the day-to-day running of the team, Richard seeks to devise and develop strategies that deliver efficiency and the best results in the quickest possible time.
Richard has extensive experience of all aspects of the costs process, from preparing costs budgets and bills of costs, all the way through to advocacy. His varied caseload of complex claims encompass high-value High Court matters and claims involving clinical negligence, asbestos and serious injury.
Richard is a trainer on all aspects of costs law including time recording, fixed costs and success fees/client deductions.
Away from work, Richard enjoys mountain biking and walks with his family and his two dogs. In sport he follows boxing and rugby league particularly Wigan Warriors who are his local team.
