The Greater Manchester Asbestos Victims Support Group (GMAVSG) provides face-to-face or telephone advice to individuals who have been affected by an asbestos-related disease, as well as the families of those who are living with or have died from an asbestos-related disease.
The charitable group provides support to those living in the Greater Manchester area, Derbyshire, Cheshire and Lancashire.
GMAVSG campaigns to see better funding for medical research and treatment, fairer benefits and compensation, the removal of asbestos from the places where we work and live, and an international ban on asbestos.
Thompsons works closely together with GMAVSG to raise awareness and take action against asbestos, campaigning with the group on the removal of asbestos from schools and public buildings, as well as providing legal support to victims and their families.
